[Name]: Jesse Pinkman
[Canon]: Breaking Bad
[Age]: 29
[Gender]: Male
[Canon Point]:

After Season 4, Episode 13 (Face-Off). In the end of the episode, Jesse and his business partner, Walter White, destroy a methamphetamine super-lab- their previous workplace- by explosion. In a canon jumping-off point, those fumes take a bit of a stronger hold on the way out than they'd planned, and the once-familiar walk out to their cars takes them someplace entirely unfamiliar.

[Personality]:

Jesse's normal demeanor is laid back and easygoing, even a little goofy at times, as he loves children and is happiest playing with them. He is not quick to pick up on subtle cues and comes off at times like a typical stoner, a bit inattentive and confused. Jesse has two friends he has managed to hold onto since high school, and while they are frequently shown to be much slower on the uptake than he is, it has never seemed to interfere with their friendship. There was a third friend who was killed during a drug deal, and Jesse showed a considerable amount of grief and assumed responsibility over his death. He also has a younger brother, who despite his much better performance in school seems to look up to Jesse, and Jesse is shown to delight in giving him advice about school, and also discourages his drug use (even after it is blamed on Jesse and subsequently gets him disowned). However, he does have a sharp tongue and a hot temper to go with it, and gets into big arguments over small disagreements, frequently with physical altercations involved. He shows little to no respect for authority, including (especially) the police.

Jesse tries to represent himself as a street thug with no weaknesses during his daily life, but in reality is deeply troubled and wounded. He still suffers from the rejection of his straight-laced parents, but has reacted by in turn completely rejecting them after they kicked him out for the last time. He has a deep need for acceptance and praise, especially from authority figures, but rebels against it and frequently engages in law-breaking and other deviant behavior. He is highly empathetic, seeing suffering in others and lashing out against those that cause it, regardless of the consequences to himself. He spent a few of his high school years living with an aunt who died of cancer, and so was able connect emotionally with his recently-diagnosed business partner (Walter White), in a way that even White's own family was unable to. This emotional connection quickly became unhealthy and unstable, but as "Mr. White", Jesse's former chemistry teacher, played easily on Jesse's need to please and lack of a father figure, Jesse became quickly unwilling to let him go. He has been willing to put his own life on the line more than once to save White, and would do so again without hesitation. The first man Jesse ever killed was to keep White from being killed instead. This murder still weighs deeply on Jesse's conscience, as the victim (Gale Boetticher) was unarmed and largely innocent, and spent his last seconds begging for his life. Jesse blames himself for not finding another way to resolve the situation, but the concept of letting White die instead, even though he wasn't blameless in the scenario, never did and will never be an acceptable option to him.

He has serious issues with drug addiction, and has frequently used methamphetamines, marijuana, and alcohol in the past, and at one time used heroin with a girlfriend. He also smokes, much more when stressed. He has gone to rehab in the past and been sober for periods of time, but relapsed- much like he had made decisions to quit his partnership with White, and then gone back, showing both his addictive personality and his inability to let go of someone who "needs" him. Jesse is primarily motivated by protecting his own interests, as well as the interests of those he cares about, and doesn't mind making a lot of money on the side, either. He has done a lot of bad things in his life- selling illegal drugs, committing murder, blowing up a meth lab disguised as a laundromat, colluding with a Mexican cartel- but Jesse is a genuinely good person with a good heart, who believes he is nothing more than a criminal and the "bad guy". However, when he was the subject of a brutal attack by a police officer (White's brother-in-law) and was hospitalized with severe injuries, Jesse's reaction is to threaten to press charges, rather than to pursue a more vigilante action and go after the officer personally. This reaction revealed a deep-seated sense of justice, and the belief that the right thing will happen in the end.

[Abilities / Strengths & Weaknesses]:

Jesse is a skilled chemist with the proper direction, and is capable of making methamphetamine that is at least 92% pure without assistance, while it varies anywhere from 50% to 90% on the street. He is artistic, and both draws extremely well and can create intricate woodcrafting projects and furniture. He is quite good at escaping from tight situations and can slip out of handcuffs with regularity. Jesse is extremely charismatic and a skilled salesman, able to sell illegal drugs to someone with a police officer standing right behind him, relying entirely on charm. Jesse is the definition of a people person, and has a definite history of winning over difficult, unyielding personalities with his genuine, earnest nature.

Jesse is not very book-smart, and often accomplishes things in the lab without knowing exactly how or why. He easily gets himself into bad situations by not noticing warning signs and getting in over his head, and often makes careless mistakes that land him in situations that have become lethal. He is a drug addict (mostly methamphetamines, but has also used heroin and marijana, as well as a healthy amount of alcohol) and frequently relapses into heavy use under stress. He is hot headed and easily agitated, and makes rash decisions without all the needed information when upset. His biggest weak spot is threats against children, whether he is personally acquainted with them or not, and he has put himself in mortal danger to avenge children he has never met. He behaves the same way regarding his business partner, Walter White, though their relationship is notoriously rocky. Simply put, Jesse's heart rules his actions, and his heart isn't that smart.

Jesse is reportedly a Blue Belt in Jui Ryo Kung-Fu with a shuriken certification, but has never been seen successfully using these skills. He is, however, good in a fistfight and more often than not comes out on top.

[Other Important Facts]:

Jesse has several tattoos, most notably a blue skull (in the style of Dia de los Muertes decorations) between his shoulderblades and a black Celtic scorpion on his right forearm that extends onto the back of his hand.
